Bitumen Spray Truck Operator | $175K - $200K

Tomago-based | Family-Owned Success | Full Relocation Support

Are you one of the top Spray Seal Operators in NSW? If you have the technical expertise but want a role where you’re a valued member rather than just another number, this is your opportunity.

Based out of Tomago, our client is a rapidly growing, family-owned business. They are looking for a heavy-hitter to lead their spraying operations. They aren't just seeking a driver—they want a specialist who takes pride in a perfect finish and technical precision.

The Package

  • Salary: $175,000 – $200,000 p.a. + Super.

  • Company Vehicle: Provided for the right candidate.

  • Allowances: LAHA (Living Away From Home Allowance) for frequent regional travel.

  • Relocation: Living out of the area? Full relocation costs provided to move you to the Hunter region.

Key Responsibilities

This is a technical, hands-on leadership role. Your day-to-day will involve:

  • Precision Application: Operating bitumen sprayers to exact specifications, ensuring even distribution and perfect adhesion.

  • Technical Calculations: Calculating spray speeds, pump RPMs, and application rates (including cutters and additives) based on site conditions.

  • Load & Temperature Management: Loading, heating, and maintaining bitumen at optimal temperatures with zero contamination.

  • Equipment Mastery: Fitting/adjusting jets to the spray bar and performing hand-lance work for intricate areas.

  • Compliance: Managing Dangerous Goods (DG) documentation and strictly adhering to "Working Safely with Bitumen" protocols.

  • Lead by Example: Guiding the on-site crew and maintaining the fleet.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 8 years of bitumen spraying experience.

  • Licences: Current HC Licence AND a Dangerous Goods (DG) Licence (Non-negotiable).

  • Flexibility: Prepared to travel away within NSW frequently.

  • The "Jackpot" Factor: Previous experience driving a Bitumen Tanker is highly regarded.

Why Join This Team?

This is a "best of both worlds" role: the high-end compensation of a major contractor with the no-nonsense, supportive culture of a growing family business. You will be respected as a technical expert and provided with the gear and support you need to do "good work."
